Revelation

This is a tiny glimpse into how I think. I do have a few moments of clarity, every once in a while. This was my train of thought:

  • Gosh, wouldn't it be nice to be self-employed, as a publisher. I could live in the country.
  • *imagines* Sitting out on the patio, watching the chickens.
  • I'd get bored pretty quickly.
  • But I'd have time to do all the crafty things I want to learn how to do.
  • Then I could write books for them, and sell them on my site that makes me self-employed.
  • I've always been a know-it-all.
  • OMG THAT'S WHY I WRITE AND PUBLISH BOOKS!
It's taken me a while to come to this conclusion. 39 years, 8 months, 15 days and 4 hours. Not to put too fine a point on it.

Why couldn't I have been one of those people who GETS IT who GETS LIFE AND KNOWS what they want to do from the beginning? Why am I so slow?

  1. I'd like to go back to, say, 19, knowing what I know now. But things are what they are, and know-it-alls are boring.

I'll spare you the more obvious chicken-soup platitudes.

  2. Your one of the rare "know-it-all" birds who also has the "interesting" tale feathers... don't worry. And it took you this long to figure it out because you didn't think you had to think about it, you thought you already knew!
