I don't understand

I don't understand myself. That thing with the dentist the other day has put me in a tailspin. I am depressed. I feel sad whenever I think about my daughter there. I suppose I feel like I have failed her.

She was not harmed. She's fine. I was more harmed than she was. Emotionally harmed. But how can I get over it?

I think filing a complaint with the state board will help.

  1. That's a good cure for depression - kicking someone's butt through the proper channels.

    Best of luck.

  2. Do it. Write a letter, then let it sit for another day and go over it again. Suggest positive steps that the board or this dentist can take to improve care for all patients who can't advocate for themselves. You know how to write well, so your complaint is likely to be taken seriously instead of being dismissed as a crackpot harangue.

If you don't speak up, who will?

    Good luck! Feel better!

  3. I'm not real clear on what happened (He threw away her file -- is that the main thing?) but it sounds like he behaved horribly, and I definitely think you should file a complaint. His behavior really sounds scary.

I know the sick feeling you have. It comes from having your sense of justice/fairness outraged.
